Forgotten Manchester United player set for his moment at Old Trafford against Barnsley

Tahith Chong could finally be handed a chance to impress at Manchester United when they face Barnsley in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

The 21-year-old winger has been with the Red Devils since 2016 but has made just 16 appearances for the first team, scoring one goal.

He spent last season on loan at Werder Bremen but struggled to make an impact, scoring just one goal in 22 appearances.

Chong has been in good form for United's Under-23s this season, scoring three goals in four Premier League 2 appearances.

He will be hoping to make the most of his chance against Barnsley, who are currently 13th in the Championship.

United have a poor record against Barnsley in recent years, winning just one of their last five meetings.
