NFL Wild Card Playoffs: Texans Advance with First Playoff Win Over Browns

Dream Come True for Flacco After Loss to Texans

Texans Highlight Results from NFL Wild-Card Playoffs

In a stunning turn of events, the Houston Texans defeated the Cleveland Browns 27-14 in the Super Wild Card Weekend Showdown on Saturday. The victory marks the Texans' first playoff win in franchise history.

After a disappointing loss to the Baltimore Ravens in the regular season, the Texans entered the playoffs with a record of 9-8. However, they rallied behind quarterback Deshaun Watson and a strong defense to upset their AFC South rivals.

Watson threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns, while running back David Johnson rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown. The Texans' defense held the Browns to just 269 yards of offense and forced three turnovers.

For the Browns, quarterback Baker Mayfield struggled to get the passing game going, completing just 15 of 29 passes for 189 yards. Running back Nick Chubb was the team's lone bright spot, rushing for 69 yards and a touchdown.

The victory was a major upset, as the Browns were favored by 7.5 points. It also marked the first time that the Texans had defeated the Browns in a playoff game.

With the win, the Texans advance to the Divisional Round, where they will face the top-seeded Kansas City Chiefs. The game will be played on Sunday, January 12th at Arrowhead Stadium.
